Jersey - Atlantic City - Brigantine l South Florida Portrait Photographer

Backstory: I spent a month traveling in Jersey back in December, it taught me so much and I had a blast!

This time around we have our son to come along which is so much more different but I had someone to hang out with while his Dad was at work! One thing I did learn I cannot live anywhere its cold everyday, my son agrees after 2 weeks of bundling up he had it and didn't want to wear big jackets and sweaters anymore. We first stopped off in Redbank NJ its a small town and such a cute downtown they had, I only wish we would of spent our last day there we didn't get a chance as we were called to head over to Atlantic City-Brigantine for work. My son's father is an Insurance Adjuster so he was called to work Super Storm Sandy, there were some days he took us to work with him and we were there to witness the empty town that was devastated and torn by Super Storm Sandy. It was definitely an experience especially living in South Florida my whole life. Thanks to Tom Tom everything was easy to find! = )  My favorite Hotel we stayed at was the FlagShip in Atlantic City it is a fantastic hotel, it was like a small apartment in Jersey loved loved loved it!

We spent 4 weeks in Jersey and our last week in Maryland for Christmas, and my my that was even colder! We definitely got to see a lot of things you would never see down here and what a difference everything is but a great experience it was!

It's Been A While Since My Last Post l South Florida Portrait Photographer

Well it's been a while since my last post ! I've been very busy shooting , editing, creating, and some traveling! Here's where I'm at: Well late November my husband offered to take us to work with him to New Jersey (following Super Storm Sandy) I said no buuuut he didn't want to miss an opportunity and off to Jersey we went! I must say I learned alot on the road about myself and I don't know how my husband does this on the road for every storm(He's an insurance adjuster) life on the road was fun we saw new things, tons of shopping, it was definitely an experience(I also learned I don't want to live anywhere it gets cold I'm a tank top and shorts girl we couldn't do that in Jersey : ) )! We stayed in Jersey for a month and than off to Southern Maryland for the Holidays(that was much colder). I booked sessions while I was in Maryland I've been wanting to shoot up north for a while scenery is just so much different than Florida. Well I had a lot of time to think and prep while up North since we were on the road a ton. That's when I decided I wanted to start up my own prop shop for 2013! Once we got back to Florida I started gathering ideas and learning and I now have a new love for Fabrics! There just so darn gorgeous! So Thus, The Patch Shoppe  was born!
My mind is completely racing and tons of new ideas and props are flowing ! I'm working as far as my fingers can handle = ) ! I look forward to my new venture and what my creativity will bring! Exciting! You will see my new creative side!

PS-Yes I will still be shooting, how could I not I turned my love for Photography/Art to now creating Props!
Stay Tuned!

Snowie | South Florida Portrait Photographer

I had the opportunity to shoot a petography session a month ago, and what a sweet surprise it was I absolutely fell in love with Snowie! He was adorable and sweet aaaand had tons of energy!!! He is my second dog session and he sure put me to work! I learned something from Snowie, wear them out first! Lol! He is an adorable Maltese and gave me that urge to have a dog again which I believe I get that urge anytime around dogs lol! I've been an animal lover forever and that will never change. I volunteer-rescue help out the animal community whenever I can, I have to admit I can't wait till (yes I can actually) my son gets a little older so I can start getting more involved again I miss it!

Busy Busy Bees!

This is the busiest time of the year for any photographer! Finally took a night off last night it felt great to get 8 hours of sleep = ) . I've been working like a mad woman it totally paid off! On to the pictures, I met the Raineri Family back 3 weeks ago (technically 5 weeks ago due to Florida's terrible rain) Can you get over how gorgeous this family is? No? Me either!

Melissa aka Mom had this great idea for there family portraits for Christmas which I thought was absolutely adorable! She mentioned it was Pinterest inspired! I thought "You too!" (I love Pinterest projects) She brought a long a Christmas banner that I absolutely loved! I'm just the teeniest bit jealous when I shoot family portraits I have yet to have my own done I know I know I'm slacking! = )

Look at what I found !

I was at a beach session in Miami, in the middle of my couple session I look to my left and there is this little cutie hiding in the middle of a high field! I quickly snapped a shot of him and he let me he didn't run away until I tried to get all fancy angles on him ! The area is filled with stray cats I always feel so bad when I shoot at this location I just want to take them all home to find them a home! I've been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Now 30 years old I rescue , donate, volunteer whenever I can or anything possible to help out the voiceless <3 !

I am having this fabulous day today! Its raining booooo so I wanted to catch up on blogging! So I received this new awesome prop in the mail ! Tees, Ties, Garland! I thought it was absolutely adorable when I found it on Etsy or I should say it found me I was totally searching for something else. I thought it would suit perfect for a session for my little guy! I will admit this is my second attempt shooting with this new garland. The first one was a fail and I blame it on my husband as I told him we shoot first then go have lunch, by the end of lunch my sons hair was a mess from running around and he looked like he just worked out True Story!
Sharing my favorite shot with from this session!
