So I wanted to share this story with you all I decided to start taking more photos of my beloved Cat! I suggest you do it to of your beloved pet take lots of photos! I adopted 2 kittens August 4, 2005 from Adopt A Stray I originally came for one and left with 2 ! They get you every time lol ! Actually the volunteer explained they came in 3 they were inseparable and one was adopted out she didn't want to separate them so I agreed to take them both (so glad I did). Well fast forward 5 years later 2010 both my kitties were sick needless to say one had a upper respiratory infection (the second time since he was born) and the other had a virus infection (so we thought). Well Akira we thought he got better I noticed he kept getting weaker and not eating as much so I thought he must have the virus again the vet ran tests again its the infection another 6 months later he started to become skinny and lethargic. I said must be the virus so the vet gave me antibiotics I said okay he'll get better again! 6 Months later other symptoms started to appear I said to myself this isn't right...... So I took him to another vet to get a different opinion he looked at him checked him out and felt a lump he said I think it's Cancer.....I bursted in tears thinking how can this be noooooooo........ I immediately sent a text out to everyone to let them know. My Father (he is where I get my love for animals from) told me to calm down and go get another opinion so I went to a 3rd Vet where they ran xrays-blood work the works! Diagnosis the same...... this time it was official and worse than we thought it had already started to calcify, intestinal cancer. It was to large to be saved, she explained even with surgery they would have to remove most of his intestines and he would probably not make it. For the first time I couldn't help my furkid. It was heartbreaking and so sudden my sweet kitty that replaced my need to ever want a dog (because I swear he was just like one lol). 4 Days later we said our good byes to him, I remember just holding him and not wanting to let go not wanting to leave the room. Its been a year since he's been gone not a day goes by we don't miss him. Here's a photo of his brother Monoke (I named both my kitties after Japanese Animation) wish I would of been able to have more photography photos of Akira.
